Updates to the sample project and Miniminotaur release!

Hello and good day!

It’s been a little while since the last entry, but that only means I’ve been busy creating the content I’m about to talk about.

From now on, I’ll be breaking these updates down into three sections: What I’ve Done, What I’m Doing, and What I’ll Do Next.

What I’ve Done Lately

Recently, I made a large number of upgrades to the Librarium sample project available on Patreon. It now includes many more assets, a clearer direction for releases, and two distinct goals for two different types of users: those using RPG Maker, and those working in other engines.

For RPG Maker users, the sample project is increasingly becoming a solid starting point, with a growing Librarium asset ecosystem to support it. For developers using other engines, it’s becoming a strong reference point for what can be achieved with Librarium materials and how specific graphics can be implemented.

Let’s go over some of the latest upgrades.

Tileset Updates

The tileset section has been updated with various fixes and improvements, including:

  • Autotile fixes
  • Cleanup of older props
  • A large number of new props and graphics
  • A title Screen

The latest addition is a new Arena tileset, which allows you to create an Arena area. It also includes a matching battle background drawn from scratch.

NPC Additions

The project has also been updated to include NPC characters, which will later be released as their own standalone pack. Here are some of them! these NPCs have matching 4dir Map sprites to go with them!

Pixbattler Faceset Updates

The Pixbattlers featured in the sample project have also been updated with matching facesets, aligning them with the visual style established by the NPCs and the direction of Pixbattler facesets moving forward.

Stan and Apolonia are actually part of the free assets Librarium offers, so you can expect these updates to head their way soon!

New Animated Battler Release

The Librarium Animated Battler – Miniminotaur has also been released and is ready to join your projects.

You can see the full breakdown of all included assets and animation previews on its landing page over on itch.io.

What I’m Doing

Right now I’m working on the next Librarium Animated release: Alien Squid Girl.

Alongside that, I’m also handling several behind-the-scenes tasks to improve the organizational side of Librarium.

What I’ll Do Next

More Librarium Animated releases are on the way.

I also plan to release the NPCs as their own standalone pack for people who are only interested in those assets.

Additionally, I’ll be configuring itch.io uploads on my Gumroad, since some users have reported that itch.io is blocked in their countries.

Thank you for your interest and support as always!
